Can Acupressure Relieve Constipation Symptoms?

This technique requires that you stay patient and consistent to see any improvement. With that being said, there is still not enough research on acupressure concerning digestive problems. However, some of the studies out there currently show promising results. A previous study from 2019 found that after hemodialysis patients underwent acupressure three times a week for four weeks, their constipation significantly improved. Similarly, participants in a 2015 study experienced fewer constipation symptoms after self-administered acupressure for ten days. So, it is possible to relieve constipation symptoms with acupressure, but it can take some time, and results are not guaranteed. 

How To Perform Acupressure For Constipation In Babies

As we described earlier, acupressure is a natural treatment that relies on the body’s mechanisms to heal. Instead, aim for a gentle massage using small circles, slides, and strokes with your hands. If your baby is experiencing discomfort, try your best to distract them by singing songs or kissing them as you are massaging each area.
