Massage Kidney-9 Acupuncture Point And These 2 Other Points Daily To Rejuvenate Your Hair

No one wants to lose their beloved hair, but unfortunately, hair loss is an issue most of us will face at some points in our lives. We try to prevent it at all costs by trying different creams, supplements, diets, and even laser treatments. In addition to these, you can also try acupuncture, a form of Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), which according to experts, can provide excellent results in preventing hair loss, without any side effects.

The Kidney-9 acupuncture point, when used in combination with the pressure points Bl-23 and KI-1, helps restore and rejuvenate your hair. A regular acupuncture or acupressure treatment can help stimulate new hair growth. Kidney 9 is an acupuncture point on the kidney meridian, and it can be found on the inside of the calf. It is located approximately 5 cun(5 finger-width) above the tip of the inner bone of the ankle, and 1 cun behind the rear of the tibia. If you draw a line between your ankle and your knee cap, the acupoint is approximately 1/3 from your ankle.

Besides supporting hair, the Kidney- 9 acupuncture point also helps in neurological disorders, foot and lower leg pain, and hernia.

The Function Of The Kidney According To TCM

The traditional Chinese way of keeping hair shiny and healthy is very different from the western perspective but has proven its efficacy with time.

In TCM, the role of the kidney is distinct from that of Western medicine and is strongly linked to our hair, bones, and even the brain. It is regarded to be a crucial part of the conservation of vital energy. When we age, our hair starts to turn grey, we forget stuff and have trouble urinating. According to TCM, these concerns can be closely linked to the kidneys.

Perform Acupressure At Home

Fortunately, acupressure is a natural and straightforward method free from side effects that you can follow at the comfort of your home to get long, shiny, and beautiful hair. While acupuncture involves the insertion of needles at specific pressure points in the body and can only be done by an expert, acupressure can be easily performed by yourself using your hands.

By stimulating kidney points on feet to stimulate the energy channels or meridians through which life energy flows, they may help alleviate various discomforts in the body.

According to Chinese experts, these 3 acupressure points for kidney and bladder should be stimulated regularly to maintain healthy kidney functions and prevent various problems caused by deficient kidneys.

Acupoint: KD-9 (Other Names: Kidney-9/Zhu Bin/Guest House)

On applying pressure on this point, anyone with a weak kidney will feel a sharp pain and pressure in the kidney region. Poor circulation in the body can cause cold hands and feet, and edema. The Kidney-9 acupuncture point can help improve blood circulation in the lower body, reduce physical fatigue, and assist in motion sickness.

How to stimulate this point

Use your finger to press the Kidney-9 acupuncture point for 5 seconds and then release it. Repeat this 5 times.

Acupoint: Bl-23 (Other Names: Urinary Bladder-23/Shen Shu/Kidney Transporter)

This acupressure point for kidney and bladder is located on both sides of the spine. It is closely linked to the autonomic nerve that regulates body functions. It is an important point that is beneficial for the treatment of visceral diseases. People who suffer from kidney failure and are undergoing dialysis mostly have to lie down for a long time, which leads to lower back pain. Stimulating Bl 23 can promote the blood flow in the kidneys and prevent further damage, and can also help reduce lower back pain.
