So, let’s get into it!

Acupoint: KI-3 (Other Names: Kidney-3/Tai Xi/Supreme Stream)

KI-3 ranks highly amongst the pressure points for cough in feet. This point is between the inner ankle (otherwise known as medial malleolus) and the infamous Achilles tendon. Use your thumb and index finger to target this pressure point and apply gentle pressure.

If you use it correctly, this acupressure point can be used to relieve coughing and inflammation of the bronchi. If you notice inflammation around the throat when you cough, you need to give this acupressure point a try.

The other uses of this acupressure point include cosmetic concerns (such as signs of aging), circulation issues, tiredness, leg muscle strengthening, blood pressure concerns, memory difficulties, bladder issues, slow metabolism, and hearing concerns. Ren-22 technically isn’t on the foot. However, when it is combined in sequence with KI-3, this pressure point can work to significantly relieve a dry cough or a persistent.Ren-22 is located at the bottom of the neck and it is known to stop phlegm, help a runny nose, and benefit the throat.

This 2013 study concluded that this acupressure point is a very effective treatment for coughing as a consequence of asthma, a sore throat, and excessive phlegm. When combined with KI-3, this acupressure point is incredibly effective.

Acupoint: LU-5 (Other Names: Lung-5/Chi Ze/Cubit Marsh)

LU-5 isn’t situated on the foot. However, when used in conjunction with KI-3, it is a very effective treatment for a cough. It is located on the inside of the arm by the elbow. It is understood to alleviate a cough and a sore throat.

LU-5 is a very versatile acupressure point. This acupressure point is also considered to relieve night fever, fullness in the chest, convulsions, neck pain, spasmodic pain in the elbow and arm areas, and mastitis.
